Unfortunately I have seen nothing but anecdotal evidence given by the anti group. That means it’s not acceptable to be reliable enough to make a decision. Science is not a contradiction it’s a complimentary to Torah. If emunah is the bias of decision in anti vax then why can’t the same amount of emunah be given to the principal of taking vacation after the fact. 🙃
follow the majority was only one point the rebbe made. a few times he answered flat yes to vaccinate. one time he wrote im sendiing this letter urgent you should vaccinate
It is ridiculous to say the Rebbe has an opinion on today’s vaccinations since so many things have changed in the past 70 years or so. So many more vaccines are given and there is significant group of experts although not mainstream who say there is damage that has been done to vaccines. Additionally, there have been cases of people who sued the vaccine companies for damaging their kids and won. If there are people who sued and won just think how many didn’t bother suing. Today we have people just going around with big claims that they know what… Read more »
“we have refined and improved our vaccines so much that our children today are even safer than we were” ????
Your statement is a complete joke. Children today are sicker than they have ever been. Chronic and autoimmune illness in our children have climbed to alarming levels in direct relation to rising vaccination rates.
People have got to open their eyes and look at what’s staring you right in the face and realize that the one thing meant to alter our immune systems is what’s destroying our children’s health.
Including Rabbi Wagner. That said, the Rebbe was certainly not pro anyone “bashing” another Jew. To the anti-CH commenters – and I don’t live in CH – it is much easier to get an exemption out of NY State. Those in CH that don’t give vaccines really have to fight the state and schools for their children to be exempt. Obviously, they are doing their research and believe in their choice.
ppl walking in CH are unfortunately completely clueless about the stuff they should know about it kalvachomer medicine! Please read and learn and have the bitul to understand how gigantic is your misunderstanding “When we were children (70s, 80s and early 90s) we were vaccinated against fewer things (which were nonetheless still deadly). Let’s take the CDC’s vaccine schedule from 1983 for example. There were seven diseases we were protected against including measles, mumps, rubella, (MMR), Diptheria, tetanus and pertussis (DTaP) and polio. Because of how vaccines were made at the time, we were exposed to about 3,000 antigens by… Read more »
99% of the medical community support vaccination. It’s the tiny percentage of conspiracy theorists and weirdos who don’t.
I think it’s time for COL to stop publishing the extremely dangerous and misinformed views from antivaxxers whose opinions have been thoroughly debunked by experts. When they say they’ve done ‘research’, what that really means if reading comments, blog posts and youtube videos from random misinformed people, while ignoring the vast body of scientific evidence from many decades showing that vaccines are safe.
Antibiotics .. You conclude your letter writing about your son sheyichye, that he has received and continues to receive antibiotics on a daily basis: You are surely aware that in the United States the enthusiasm and ardor to give antibiotics has dampened, and doctors are beginning to have serious reservations about their excessive use. You understand, of course, that this is only a general observation, and is meant merely to encourage and point out to you that it would be worthwhile to speak to the doctor who is caring for your son that he carefully consider and rethink whether it… Read more »
So sad that there are those among us who think they know more /better than the Rebbe.
much less antigens? there were just a few during the Rebbe’s time, now there is over 70 by the time one is 18. There is a huge difference in the cumulative effect of the antigens now vs then.

yes but much less antigens than in rebbes year. they are much safer now. glad i dont live in ch. place where ppl dont have any bitul
Cuz they’ve done way more research than the pro-vaxxers.
In another place the Rebbe advises to make make sure it’s a good company with good ingredients…any of the pro vaxxers do that?
Seriously, stop bashing the other side. Each has valid reasoning and bashing the other will do absolutely nothing to change their view.
It’s not a simple decision- we want to protect our children but not everyone is ready to take the risks..of which there are many and no one can blame any parent for being afraid.
Do you think all collive commenters are from crown heights? Do you think all anti vaxxers are from crown heights? Wake up, my friend. . This is not a Jewish, frum, lubavitch or crown heights issue. It is a global issue. On another note, I’m personally relieved to see the awareness of vaccine injury (that is REAL) in the world that is growing, and quite frankly unavoidable. We need to honest and open about both sides of the coin. . You can’t tell me about the gains if you just won’t admit the risks. PS $72 million has already been… Read more »
This Facebook group is of 148K people because thousands of mothers join when they see their children are vaccine injured and have intense side effects within hours of vaccinating their child.
And when I bring my newborn there iyH, I will ask before letting anyones children come close. I am scared of the place.
Misinformation. And it is a very small number of ppl who are affected. Many more lives are saved by giving them than not.
They have come out with many more vaccines since the Rebbe said this. I am a Nurse and I no longer vaccinate due to all the damage it has done to both myself and my children. I graduated top of my class from a big ten univeristy, ON THE DEAN’S LIST OUT OF 50,000 students, mostly Goyim. The Torah clearly says do not take medicine before you are sick. I should take an aspirin because there is a 1/1 millionth chance that I might have a headache at 10 o’clock??????? The logic behind vaccines comes from scientists and businessmen who deny… Read more »
Dr. Rosen who is highly respected says no need to space out. He said spacing is fine and better to space and give then not give at all.
Thank for showing me the light of the rebbe that i have been wishing for years
Thank you
I don’t understand why COL keeps pushing a biased view of this issue. They should bring doctors and rabbis who are more cautious (yes, they exist!) as well.
I read these anti vaxx comments on COL, and I am literally filled with sorrow and, at the same time, gratitude. I am thrilled I don’t live in crown heights anymore, and I’m sorrowful for the ignorance that is apparently so rampant in this community. Read an actual research study, not a blog. Some commentators here are so pathetically uninformed, it really hurts.

for a fact that there are many children who were fine and overnight became damaged R”L.
how??
too many cases! way too many.
During the Rebbe’s time there were 3 vaccines given. Torah there are 72 doses for a person to be vaccinated for from ages birth to 18 years old. Forcthose thag would like to educate themselves on vaccine safety, visit the Facebook page called “vaccination reeducation forum” on Facebook. There are 148K people on this forum, for good reason. Educate yourself to both sides!!
The chemicals and quantities of vaccines and their mix have changed so much that I really think the Rebbes opinion could be now different.
I follow Dr Paul Thomas (Rofeh mavin) who is not against vaccines just think they’ll need to given wisely, with space alin between and skipping the unecessary ones.
Check him out

the answer the Rebbe gave was based on “what most people do”, so all one needs to do is just ask around and see “what most people do” and do accordingly.
Vaccines are not proven to cause more problems now. However not vaccinating is quite proven to cause a lot of problems. There are those who can’t get vaccinated due to danger. It does exist. (Pregnant women, people with certain pre-existing sicknesses such as Yene Machla). It is very rare. There are those who are not vaccinated who get the disease. Vaccines work, and way more children are dying now in the frum communities from not getting them, or from their neighbors not getting them than are being harmed by vaccines. The Torah says to listen to doctors generally, not just… Read more »
So according to what you just said the Only vacanations that have been around for years are ones that you can be assured of safety??? So all the flu shots and new vaccinations would certainly not fit under this categories.
Thanks
So if the Rebbe answered on the worry of it causing problems, that it is not a worry because it is now (then at time of answer) at a higher caliber. How does that apply to today’s times, when vaccinations are lumped together different then back then, and are proven to cause real issues to many recipents?
When will people stop applying the rebbes answer from past situations that clearly would not be the same today?
I am not suggesting to know what the rebbe would say today, but I do know that circumstances are different.
