A celebration in Jerusalem on Thursday welcomed a new Torah in memory of Rivka Farkash, the late daughter or Rabbi Yekusiel Farkash, the renowned posek and author of halachic works.
Rivka was described by the family as a special young girl who brought joy to all who knew and loved her until her passing at the age of 27 last year.
The final words in the Torah were written in the home of Rabbi Farkash in the presence of family members, rabbis, and many residents of Jerusalem.
From there the procession continued in song and dance to the Levi Yitzchok shul in the Shikun Chabad neighborhood. Participating were bochurim of the Toras Emes Yeshiva.
I can’t believe that it was already a year.
