The Anti-Defamation League has offered a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the attacker of a woman in Crown Heights on Friday, JTA reports.
The woman was walking on Kingston Avenue near Lincoln Place at approximately 1:00 pm on Friday, when a black man came towards her and punched her in the arm.
“This is the second alleged unprovoked assault of a member of the Jewish community in Crown Heights in the past week alone. We remain deeply concerned about these alleged acts of violence and the escalating climate of tension and fear that has followed,” said Evan R. Bernstein, Regional Director of ADL New York / New Jersey.
The perpetrator is described as a black male, about 5.10/6 ft, with black jacket and pants, black shoes, and matted dreadlocks.
This attack is the latest in a string of recent incidents including a mugging at knifepoint, a Jewish man punched and thrown to the ground and a man punched in the chest.
The NYPD Hate Crimes unit is investigating the attacks.
In response to the recent incidents, the NYPD informed that there will be six additional patrol cars every day in the areas that have experienced the most incidents, with additional officers assigned to Kingston Avenue on foot.

Shut up you stupid liberal
Are you for real?! Please just tell me you’re trolling… Of course money should be offered, as should for pretty much any arrest if that’s what’s gonna bring a violent criminal to justice. Yes, I said violent criminal, because that’s exactly what this thug is. Yes, he’s also our neighbor, but not ‘just’ a neighbor, he’s a disgraceful neighbor. She also didn’t get (physically (significantly)) hurt, however that is almost completely irrelevant, your comment is simply attempting to justify and sugarcoat a disgraceful violent crime. Why would you think that randomly punching a stranger on the street should be tolerated?… Read more »
So happy to see someone is taking action now you will have this guy in no time thank you so much ☺ and this crime needs to go down thanks so much for offering money for whoever finds him that’s what we needed the whole time
You don’t offer money for people like that they are your fellow neighbors and the person that got punched didn’t even get hurt get over it this will just make more crime don’t get this
