After four students of Yeshivas Chabad Lubavitch in Toronto were victims of an anti-Semitic hate crime, as reported on COLlive.com, ties with the local authorities and officials have grown even more.

Recently, Rabbi Mendel Aisenbach met with Toronto's newly elected Mayor John Tory on behalf of Yeshivas Chabad Lubavitch and brought him a large Challah.

The two discussed the security and well-being of the young students and the Mayor showed much interest in the Chabad Yeshivah as well as Chabad worldwide.

The Yeshiva, which has now entered its 22nd year, has made an indelible mark on the Toronto landscape. Not merely an educational facility, the Yeshiva is molding the leaders of tomorrow.

The Mayor said he was "personally touched by the Friday outreach that hundreds of students do in their spare time," Rabbi Aisenbach in reference to the Friday Mivtzoim outreach activities.

He said the Mayor asked to thank Yeshivas Lubavitch and its Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Akivah Wagner< on his behalf, for being such a prominent presence in Toronto.
