Two muggings occurred on Friday night in Crown Heights, by three males carrying a knife.
The three young males first mugged a white male at knife point, as the victim was waiting for the bus on President Street and New York Avenue.
The three males then attempted to rob a Jewish male one block away on President Street and Brooklyn Avenue at knife point.
The Jewish male explained it was Shabbos, so he was carrying no possessions, and the perps fled the location.
With the help of the Jewish victim’s family and the volunteer safety patrol, police were able to apprehend one of the perps. Police discovered a few knives in his possession.
The mugger is 14 and has had prior contacts with the police.
The perp was arrested and taken to family court today.
The detective unit is working on locating the two outstanding perps, police said.

Don’t you hear these things ALL the time on COL? I don’t live in Crown Heights, but every time I go I am scared stiff because of the things I see on COL. Need more Shmirah walking the beat at night and cameras. Not that complex. People need to carry pepper spray which is legal to protect themselves.

The white yuppies don’t contribute anything to crown heights. They moved here because it’s safe for them; criminals don’t bother them because they have us jews to target. The only thing that yuppies brought to crown heights is increased rent so the people who deserve to stay here can’t afford it.
