For the third year, the Lincoln Place Shul and Beis Hamedrash partnered with local families and stores to bring the Chanukah experience to a new level of Pursumei Nisah in Crown Heights.
Every night of Chanukah a public Menorah lighting with a distribution of donuts and prizes was held in the streets of North Crown Heights.
Hundreds attended the Public Menorah Lightings and expressed their gratitude for having a Chanukah celebration to go nightly in a walking distance from their homes.
Rabbi Chaim Meir Lieberman, member of the central Lubavitch Youth Organization, which is responsible for the Shluchim and Chabad Houses in New York, was honored to light the Menorah at the Lincoln Place Shul on the third night.
For the last night, the Public Lighting was hosted by Chocolatte Coffeehouse on Kingston Avenue and Eastern Parkway, the Menorah was lit by R. Dr. Mayer Rosenberg.
Despite the cold, hundreds came to attend and rejoice around the 9ft tall Menorah and the iconic Dreidel.
