Why did Pac Endorse Zellnor Myrie ?
November 6, 2018 7:41 pm

NYS Sen Jessie Hamilton, who criticized the Iran Deal, was for Yeshiva Tax Credits, and who voted in the NYS Senate for the anti-BDS , Pro-Israel legislation is being thrown under the bus for a candidate who has not taken a position on any Jewish issues ? Don’t forget, Hamilton only lost the primary by a few thousand votes and could win with a large turnout. The PAC has a responsibility to say why it is endorsing Zellnor Myrie. When you take all those photo-ops with Hamilton, and he is so Pro-Jewish on issues, to just go with the winner,… Read more »

It’s a no brainer
November 6, 2018 6:50 pm

On every issue that faces the Torah communities the republicans are more in line with our views. On vouchers, crime fighting, keeping terrorists out of our country and moral values we must vote republican.

The Rebbe's Opinion
November 6, 2018 5:56 pm

It is good that one of the comments raise the issue of the Rebbe’s approach to this matter of voting. While the comments expressed are probably accurate they referring to rabbonim and Lubavitch officially endorsing candidates. They do not reflect on whether Community leaders who are involved in working with officials should endorse those who will help our residents. Also support for Israel, school vouchers, or other policy issues are areas where askanim can give important guidance as to the candidates best aligned with the interests of the Jewish community.

PAC committee recommendations?
November 6, 2018 5:03 pm

Let’s vote for a new PAC committee too! It’s about time really. Are they looking out for the general communities’ welfare or perhaps only their own? Voted, but not sure if PAC list interests were for the overall general community or private concerns.

CH PAC has No Legitimacy Without regular CHJCC Elections
November 6, 2018 3:20 pm

Jessie Hamilton voted in favor of the anti-BDS legislation. Zellnor Myrie hasn’t take a position on this legislation. How many Jewish college students need to be harassed at college for supporting Israel? The CH PAC has no legitimacy based upon the CHJCC not having regular elections. Does a commercial real estate developer and owner of buildings have a conflict of interest when those buildings are under the scrutiny of NYC Housing which is influences by the Democratic party ? Ignore the PAC, but vote. The CHPAC is why people don’t vote. Demand CHJCC have elections. END THE DICTATORSHIP. POST ALL… Read more »

Just spoke to my son in Jackson nj

November 6, 2018 1:19 pm

Sucking up and endorsing flomo DiNapoli and James as well as clark all Democrats all openly against the Jewish community and pro Farrakhan Pro soften Pro communism. Even if you think you’re going to win and you’re sucking up for a political action committee to endorse any Democrat is foolish much less these rats!

Pathetic!!!
November 6, 2018 12:36 pm

Doctor's Advice
November 6, 2018 9:41 am

Not good to support Democrats anymore. They are the party of Linda Sansour, Ellison, the Iran Deal. Who gave us Nikki Haley, who freed Sholom Rubashkin? Who Stood up for Israel at the UN. Who tore up the hideous Iran Deal? You vote will not be wasted. It will make a statement. Defeat Gillibrand! Democrats have not stood up to her anti-Israel stance. Charles Kasriel Brum, MD

Just voted here in Flatbush
November 6, 2018 9:26 am

All the people I spoke to are voting republican down the line. Our people are getting smart. They realize we can’t listen to these fake democratic operatives who are payed off by the democRATic party. We may yet see a red wave.

Vote Cuomo? He is against the POTUS
November 6, 2018 8:31 am

Vote Republican. And send the Democrats a message, they no longer have our backs. And we are crazy if we vote for them. Remember Iran Deal, Embassy, Rubashkin, Nikki Haley- Remember and Dont Forget. Support the Man with the Golden Hair.

Republican All The Way!
November 6, 2018 8:19 am

We need to stop paying salaries through our taxes for the obstructionists in our congress. Vote them out! Support our President and our Good Values! Support those who support our communities and Israel! Ride the red wave and the Trump train!!

Cuomo??
November 6, 2018 8:04 am

Hamilton has helped us, don’t abandon him now
November 6, 2018 7:42 am

Jesse Hamilton has been there for our community even voting against Iran deal, going against his party line, because he thought it was right.
Don’t go with the Crown Heights “PAC,” vote Hamilton not Zellnor

Republican down the line
November 6, 2018 7:39 am

Do not vote Democrat. All they will focus on is taking down Trump and forcing us to support all the immoral liberal shtus. The 3 questions are all liberal policies. More of our taxes to go to politicians, forcing affirmative action programs, and allowing the mayor to appoint unqualified people to “czar” positions in government. The city mailed a booklet with the 3 questions and a set of yes reasons and a set of no reasons. Of course the yes reasons were waaaay longer than the no reasons and they made the no reasons sound stupid. Don’t let the liberal… Read more »

The Rebbe's position
November 6, 2018 6:43 am

“The Rebbe advocated throughout the years the necessity for the people to make their decision on the vote and discouraged the intervention of Jewish leaders or Rabbanim from taking sides or aligning with a single party or candidate.[10] In the Rebbes words “One should vote for the most Torah observant party/candidate” regardless of that parties or candidates’ person sectorial affiliation.”Letter written 15th Teves 5714 “As is known, Lubavitch is very careful to avoid any political affiliation. This applies to Eretz Hakodesh as well as other countries. This was a directive from the Rebbe Rayatz which I upkeep.”; Sicha 6th MarCheshvon… Read more »

November 6, 2018 6:10 am

I feel very under represented, looking at these pictures and in general, reading COL and seeing who makes the noise and the news presses in our community. How did these men get involved? How long will these same guys be the movers and shakers? It would benefit our community if the candidates met more of us, not just the same few, almost exclusively male, representatives running the show. I myself have no political ambitions and I’m camera shy so those of you who think I’m jealous and want the kavod are totally wrong. I’m not one who needs attention. Secondly,… Read more »

Republican all the way
November 5, 2018 8:23 pm

The world has changed and so did the Democratic party. Not worthy of our votes. Why does everyone think it’s a given Democrats will get the Jewish vote with out proving they deserve it!

Republican
November 5, 2018 8:22 pm

I was a staunch democrat years ago but my oh my how the tides have changed. Republican or conservative down the line.

Flatbush yid
November 5, 2018 8:18 pm

It’s very important that every frum yid vote Republican down the line. Right now there is only a thirteen point difference between cuomo and his republican challanger. If all the frum communities would unite we could have a Republican governor and save our values and increase our safety. Why are we sitting back. Go vote republican down the line in New York and New Jersey.

#20 has it right

Absentee Ballot Voters
November 5, 2018 7:03 pm

Unfortunately, these endorsements being only revealed now do not help those who send in their vote via absentee ballots earlier than Nov 6. Please consider for future elections disclosing this type of information earlier so such voters will have the community’s endorsements available.

Please explain why we should vote no to the 3 questions
November 5, 2018 6:56 pm

Just wondering

???
November 5, 2018 6:49 pm

Why would any frum yid vote democratic anymore???

Ballot Questions

November 5, 2018 5:18 pm

Read the questions carefully before checking no. I think yes, no, yes.

November 5, 2018 4:41 pm

BS”D They recommend based on who will win not on morals, the only problem is that the winner anyway ignores the Community. It’s a busha to the name Lubavitch to endorse such a corrupt Govenor, a pro gay, a pro abortion Chas v sholem and to ignore a friend Hamilton, the day will come that he pays us back, ignore these recommendations, we need our own pac, this pac does not understand the fundamentals of politics which is that even if we do not endorse the winner, if the loser makes a half decent showing the winner will look to… Read more »

Why are we supposed to support Zellnor Myrie over Jesse Hamilton?
And is Tish James really who we want?
What about Yvette Clark?

Yosef
November 5, 2018 3:35 pm

Thank you for taking the time and interest to represent our community politically.

Why???
November 5, 2018 3:26 pm

What is wrong with our leaders,
Andrew Cuomo? His opponent, is actually pro Israel, and will lower taxes, build the infrastructure, btw its a pretty close race for them, vote for MOLINARO.
Clarke?
Her opponent is lutchi gayot, he will support Israel and will give school choice, will support small businesses. Vote lutchi gayot for Congress.

Vote republican
November 5, 2018 3:10 pm

I will vote straight republican hope everybody goes to vote and votes republican .go president trump

Libertarians
November 5, 2018 2:52 pm

There are some Libertarians on the ballot that would let us bring our guns to shul. They will have my vote.

Shocking
November 5, 2018 2:10 pm

It’s shocking that they didn’t endorse Jesse Hamilton who did so much for our community. His support of our community and for Israel was what his opponent in the primary used to defeat him narrowly. But he is still running as an Independent and he surely deserves our support & Hakiras Hatov.

Anti israel =anti Semite
November 5, 2018 2:01 pm

A vote for clark and james is a vote against israel and a vote for Hamas and therefore a vote against what chabad and the rebbe fought for
Vote republican only

Vote Republican down the ballot!!!
November 5, 2018 1:53 pm

Letitia (“Tish”) James is worthless, she will do nothing and distract the public with her hate towards Trump. She will be busy attacking Trump instead of focusing on what NY needs.

Education please...
