To honor the 11 victims of the Pittsburgh shooting, two young photographers, Avraham Edery, 21, and Daniel Schechter, 25, put on tefillin with 11 Jews at Washington Square Park in Manhattan on Monday, October 29.
Each act was commemorated by reciting one of the victims names and immortalized on film.

Wow. This is a very powerful act and should be implemented around the world!
Proud of you Avraham, well done!
It’s up to us to make sure no one died in vain. Let’s LIVE as Jews and be proud. Some Ideas: keep putting tefillin on, make challah, light candles, keep kosher, wear a kippah, dress modestly!!! Each of us do the most we can do. Let’s keep showing them who we are.
So proud of you Avraham!!
