Please please listen to the wise words of this shliach. I came to a pegisha in 1978 so unaware of Yiddishkeit that I had no kipa on as i walked down Kingston to LYO. For the most part i was treated with love and warmth, and now have frum grandchildren B”H.

“Along the same lines, times have changed drastically in the attitudes that most [universities and] parents have towards students drinking alcohol. We respectfully remind you to please not serve mashke at all, especially to anyone under the legal age of 21 (most of the students), to avoid any negative results and possible legal liabilities chas v’sholom.

This should apply to OUR students as well. Most bochurim in yeshiva are under the LEGAL DRINKING age of 21. STOP THE MASHKE!!!

I remember staying by a family in Crown heights years ago, an outsider, a college student, dreaming of something more.. but scared at the same time. The family left such an impression on me, the whole shabbaton was incredible and left me wanting more. BH that was many years ago and I had the zchus to host students once I was married, and we are now raising the next generation of chabadniks
