Dear Friends,
Please help us secure a permanent home for Chabad of the Shoreline in Guilford, Connecticut.
Chabad of the Shoreline has served the Jewish community of the Connecticut Shoreline for 19 years b”h.
Two years ago, we found the perfect location for our Chabad House: an 8-acre property with a large building that can serve as both the Chabad House and the shliach’s home.
Not ready to purchase, we rented the space and have continued our wide range of programming. We also moved closer to our goal of a permanent Chabad House by applying (and receiving) the necessary zoning approvals.
Recently, the property owner gave us an ultimatum: buy the property now or move out.
Thank G-d, we secured a mortgage and raised $150,000 from a select group of supporters for the down payment and closing costs. A done deal, or so we thought.
THE CHALLENGE: This past week, the lender told us that the mortgage was approved for $60,000 less than we had anticipated. So now we need to raise an additional $60,000 by June 28 (the latest date they agreed for the closing) and the lender wants the funds deposited even before June 28–as soon as possible.
Please partner with us to help make a lighthouse that illuminates the Shoreline with Yiddishkeit!
Thank you!
