dont judge if you dont know what happend

No reason to put others in trouble
January 14, 2018 12:49 pm

It’s irresponsible of the playgroup and I would never send my toddler there but I would also never report anyone!

Stop
January 14, 2018 12:46 pm

The daycare did nothing wrong.
Someone carelessly neglected to pull the door shut.
Maybe she was late to get another child of the bus.
Maybe she was under enormous emotional distress.

Maybe anything. But it was not the daycare’s fault!

You don’t shut down a school because someone forgot to close the door.

Have you never forgotten to close the door? Please grow up, and be grateful that nothing happen to the little boy

My husband
January 14, 2018 9:04 am

My husband was the one that found this child – after my 7 year old daughter pointed him out wandering in the middle of the street. A Lubavitcher 🙂

The problem with not keeping THE LEGAL RATIO
January 13, 2018 11:01 pm

This is probably one of those daycares with 7-8 kids per morah. SCARY.
Parents our REBBE encouraged us not only to find the best place for our kids but in his own words “the best of the best” and part of choosing the right school or daycare for your kid is to ensure they keep a legal ratio and minimum health and safety standard. WE DESERVE BETTER. BH there’s amazing daycares and playgroups opening with very caring morahs who care for the kids’ education more than they care about making money.

*morahs* worst nightmare??!!
January 13, 2018 10:00 pm

What about MOTHERS worst nightmare???? If this was my child I would pull him out of that playgroup. Call me judgemental all you want, but i could never ever trust that Playgrouo again. Yes, people make mistakes, I’m sure the morahs aren’t evil, but this is just crazy!

Shut it down!
January 13, 2018 9:07 pm

This play group needs to be shut down immediately! If my child was in this group I would report it. This is serious. It’s probably an illegal playgroup. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Be Careful!
January 13, 2018 8:49 pm

The child was not brought into lubavitch yeshiva.
He walked out of the apartment after a mother left….
It’s a lesson for all of us. Please be aware when picking up your child please make sure the door is closed and that other children aren’t following behind you….

A Morahs worst nightmare
January 13, 2018 7:58 pm

I am sure the morah is wonderful and totally shaken up form this experience. I myself “lost” a student (while they were under care of the assistant) and it was the scariest moment of my life. I feel so bad for the morah and I’m sure steps will be taken to ensure it never happens again. But i wish her peace of mind and heart and bh This situation turned out well

Your going a bit loco, all #4wanted to know was if it was an African American,bc these days we all get along so well with our neighbors so perhaps so and that’s nice…,so he was just curious….you seem to be the racist over here,a gut voch 🙂
#keep an eye out

January 12, 2018 12:13 pm

No. It is not ok. It is not a “this could happen to anyone” situtation. If g-d forbid the child was run over by a car, you don’t say “it could happen to anyone.” Call it as it is-negligence. When the parent/caretaker is NOWHERE nearby, it’s negligence. It’s not simply the child running ahead, it’s someone not watching a pure, innocent child. Take responsibility. Thank g-d he is alive.

Wowwwww....
January 12, 2018 11:44 am

Who is the playgroup teacher, how can anyone trust her? Where was the assistant? What kind of mother forgets to close a door? We must report all 3! Oh and maybe the father too why didnt he pick up that day? And why is he in playgroup to begin with ? The mother should be taking care of him herself! Oh but she’s neglectful so maybe it’s good he goes to playgroup but why this one? Seriously people…it’s called a mistake and as human beings, we all make them every day. Sometimes the consequences are worse than others but the… Read more »

EXACTLY!!!!!! THIS happened to me & not in daycare!!!
January 12, 2018 9:16 am

We were all at a Chanukah party sitting with my children, nieces & nephews around the table, when not right away, but a good few minutes passed when I realized that one of my children was missing!!!!! I got a terrible fright, but B”h, he somehow got separated from us & was waiting by the steps looking for me. B”h this was in a shul, but anyhting can happen anywhere R”L!!!

Stop the judgementalism!!!
January 12, 2018 7:55 am

This could happen to anyone. Yes. Even to you. We are all human . And kids are kids. We try our best. Just cuz something like this happened does not mean the people in charge are irresponsible. It could happen to the best of us . Please stop this trend of pointing fingers every single time something goes wrong we can only try our best and Gd has his ways of making things happen no matter how responsible we think we are. And no, I don’t know either parties involved but we gotta keep more open minds with every news… Read more »

Shame on all you judgmental people! Anyone who has children knows it takes but a second for something to happen. I have no idea who the playgroup Morah is, but I am sure she is a wonderful, loving Morah, otherwise people would not send their precious children to her. We can be as vigilant as we can and then we are reminded that Hashem runs the world!

Thank you for the reminder
January 12, 2018 7:01 am

The teacher I’m sure is super responsible. She could have been putting socks n shoes and Coates on kids ready for pick up. A mom could have come in stroller n all and left without checking if door was closed properly. This child followed in curiosity to see his buddy leave with her mommy. Moms picking up kids should be more cautious and teachers have signs and reminders for moms trying to get out with the bulk of kids strollers etc My question however is where was the assistant? As a suggestion perhaps the assistant or teacher post themselves near… Read more »

the dept of health should be told about the mother who unintentionnally left the front door opened quietly. One time is enough for a big scare to the concern of the others in the class. even if the mother for whatever reason she left door opened; if in a rush to pick up another sibling. this is no excuse even if say Hashem watches over them. the mother has to be told to plan out carefully abt picking up her kids. they are the most precious ones in the world.they are a gigt given to us fromHashem.have a wonderful shabbos… Read more »

January 11, 2018 11:40 pm

i am sure the playgroup is a great one. please dont assume. yes if a child is gone for two minutes you dont notice right away.. I am sure this was enuf of a wake up call to all playgroups. this can happen in our own home and you wont say you are irresponsible parent

mayb she did realize
January 11, 2018 10:58 pm

just not mentioned

Please yes report
January 11, 2018 10:52 pm

Or do something. If the conditions in the playgroup were safe, and this happened, is one thing. I am almost certain however, that there were very unsafe conditions there.

Is your child's playgroup safe??????
January 11, 2018 10:23 pm

I want to know how many kids are in this playgroup??? Why did the teacher not notice a kid was missing? Is there a reasonable teacher to student ratio?? Parents in this community are leaving their kids blindly, in completely unsafe conditions.

when was this
January 11, 2018 10:03 pm

it wasn’t ‘freezing’ cold today. Don’t try to to sensationalize

January 11, 2018 9:31 pm

It is the teachers responsibility

#23
January 11, 2018 9:19 pm

Please don’t report. Two eyes are not enough for watching kids. Hashem really watches all of us. This could happen anywhere. Even at home. This post is just a friendly reminder to always double check.

January 11, 2018 8:57 pm

how could this happen?
which teacher would not pay attention to a door not being closed properly in the cold and a child missing for a couple long minutes?
Wow, Hashem yerachim, the kid is safe,
but, is this place safe for you kids?

Watch the doors
January 11, 2018 8:44 pm

I am always aware of doors. I always check the doors are closed and locked. I see alot of mothers and othets just not bothering about security. Dont just walk in without checking.
Turn around and pull the door shut. Thank gd for the man w bh o did this good deed. That kid could have been ta kh en in seconds. Gone. In a second. …pay attention and check all doors.

I wonder if reporting play groups that do not follow
January 11, 2018 8:33 pm

Regulations of department of health would be considered mesira. Umm any wisdom anyone? How about unsanitary restaurants. how about any other criminal activity or do we just report child molesters where should we draw the line can we even talk about all this or is it unspeakable

January 11, 2018 8:30 pm

i don’t know the identity of the man who was granted the zchus of this mitzvah from Above, but you should listen to the Rebbe speaking to the head of a highly respected conservative black organization when he came to the Sunday morning line with the Rebbe shortly after the 1991 C.H. riots. To paraphrase the Rebbe: ‘our people need to learn to get along.’ #4, you may find it difficult to relate to people other than your own and that’s understandable on both sides of the divide, but you should nevertheless learn to treat people with basic human respect… Read more »

Playgroup?
January 11, 2018 7:19 pm

Sounds More like the toddler wandered out of his building while mother was waiting downstairs. If the kids was in playgroup why was he barefoot?

A Lubavitch father.

This is why I wouldn’t take that responsibility over other kids

Personally…

There are technical solutions
January 11, 2018 5:28 pm

To ensure that this situation doesn’t repeat itself!
There are various open door alarms that would prevent this from happening.

Stop being racist!! just cuz were white that does not mean the black are so i was also wondering but not skin color i was wondering religion but if u think for a second 98% of jews are white and the child was brought to the yeshiva so technically the man is white and jewish but i understand what ur asking!!

Correction
January 11, 2018 4:54 pm

Please, please mothers, *fathers, sisters, brothers* and caretakers double check the doors all the time. B”h this ended safety.
