A woman was arrested over the Sukkos holiday in Crown Heights for attacking young Jewish girls.
The incident occurred on Thursday night, the second night of Sukkos, at the corner of Lefferts Ave and Kingston Ave, at approximately 10 pm.
The perpetrator, described as a female Hispanic, was walking when she suddenly stopped 2 Jewish girls, aged 14 and 15, and proceeded to ask them where they were going. She then violently assaulted one of the girls, grabbing her by the hair and then by the throat.
The girls ran to a police car that was on the corner, patrolling the nightly dancing, and a Shmira volunteer who was nearby arrived on the scene as well.
The woman then violently assaulted the Shmira volunteer, punching him in the face multiple times. The police quickly arrived and apprehended the perpetrator, who was arrested at the scene.
The NYPD is treating the case as a possible hate crime, a police source said.

i find that walking on kingston between lefferts and east ny is not a nice block even if you’d be walking yourself anywhere else
crown heights at 10, especially shabbos or yt, is busy as 5 in the afternoon… so the ‘night’ factor doesn’t mean anything

First of all, most of the Hispanics I’ve dealt with are not stupid, though, unfortunately, a good many are, through no fault of their own, poorly educated. Second , we know all too well that there are plenty of intelligent people who had/have no trouble committing hate crimes; just ask any holocaust survivor. Third, maybe you should take the time to review your homophones…
