Marking six years to the day of the accident in Farmers Market in Simcha Monica, where an elderly man plowed through the barricades with his car, and sent the Mivtzoim table flying, Yisroel Yosef Levitansky, the director of Mitzvos On the Spot for people on the Go, under the auspices of Chabad in Simcha Monica, organized a Seudas Hoda’ah and Kinus Hakhel.
The Farbrengen was attended by members of the community, and people that were present at the time of the accident, and were miraculously saved from harm.
Rabbi Levi Raices, Shliach and Rosh Yeshiva in Charkov, Ukraine, MC’d the event.
Yisroel Yosef Levitansky spoke about the Rebbe’s Mivtzoim, some anecdotes of people who were saved from the crash and called later to thank them for the Tefilas Haderech cards they were given moments before at the Mivtzoim table.
Mr. Boruch Smulson, who put on Tefillin only 10 minutes before the crash, and said a prayer for his family while wearing the Tefillin, spoke next, and recounted his experiences.
