What is the validity of history found in the Bible? Is it fact or fiction? What does the hard evidence really have to say about the foundational story of the Bible: the Exodus out of Egypt?
A film by documentary filmmaker Timothy Mahoney searches for answers to these questions amid startling new finds that may change traditional views of history and the Bible.
“Patterns of Evidence” is an award-winning film that explores Yitziyas Mitzrayim from a scientific and historical perspective. Unique to this film is the involvement of renowned scholar and lecturer Rabbi Manis Friedman, who is credited for the Torah true content, structure and ideas that are shared in the film.
In the film, Mahoney begins with the question, “Is the Bible just a myth, or did the archaeologists get it wrong?” He decides to tackle this issue with a deliberate scientific approach. After examining the details in the biblical text, he journeys across the globe to search for patterns of evidence firsthand. The result is the most in-depth archaeological investigation into the Exodus from Egypt ever captured on film.
The award-winning film, which is available for viewing events on Tisha B’Av, is “a sure sign of Moshiach’s times,” says Rabbi Manis Friedman.
“We are taught that in the times of Moshiach, Emes M’eretz Titzmach – ‘truth will sprout forth from the earth,'” says Rabbi Friedman. “Patterns of Evidence is picking up international acclaim and people around the globe are learning the Torah’s perspective on the story of the birth of the Jewish people,” he says.

was not buried in Egypt. Moshe Rabbeinu took his body out and he was brought to Shechem. Though I don’t know if the video is implying otherwise, as I haven’t seen the full thing.
Looks like a worthwhile project either way, and I’d love to see it.
