A Purim dinner and concert was held at Chabad of Glasgow celebrating 46 years of Lubavitch in Scotland.
Stars of the show were Sholom Jacobs with his son Shmuel, Taste of Honey Trio from London, Comedian David Apfel from Leeds with a superb meal catered by L’Chaim’s Kosher Catering and organized by Shlucha Sora Jacobs.
The hall was packed to capacity, the atmosphere was electric and a great night was enjoyed by all.
Thanks to Sholom Jacobs for his very generous donation and sponsorship, this enabled Lubavitch to offer tickets to everyone at a price they could afford.
As with all Lubavitch events, nobody is turned away due to finance.
Earlier during the day Mishloach Monos Purim gifts were given to residents at Barrland Court, Walton Court and Jewish Care Friendship Club.
The Megilah was read several times during the day by Rabbi Chaim Jacobs and grandson Zushe Sandman from London.
Shul In the Park had a wonderful Megillah reading and party Thursday night with over 90 people.
