Announcement by Mikvah Mei Chaya Mushka:
For many years, the women of Crown Heights have had only one mikvah — one mikvah to serve all 3,000 Jewish families in Crown Heights. A new women’s mikvah is under construction, but needs critical funds to near completion.
Beginning at 11:00 AM on Thursday, three generous Crown Heights businessmen Danny Branover, Avremel Lokshin and Osher Karnowsky have pledged to each match every donation to Mikvah Mei Chaya Mushka that you give.
This donation matching campaign is for 24 hours only — after that, your donations will not be tripled.
Where is your donation going? You’ll be able to see your money at work when Mikvah Mei Chaya Mushka opens for use. The mikvah is at the stage of tiling. The tile for the mikvah costs $100,000. Today’s donation matching campaign will provide the funds necessary to tile the mikvah and preparation rooms.
The families of Crown Heights deserve the beauty and sanctity of a gorgeous new women’s mikvah. Please join us in making it happen.

Remember: Your donation will be TRIPLED if you give within the next 24 hours. No amount is too small!

In less than 5 hours, we have reached $100,000. Thanks to the amazing generosity of our 3 matching donors and each and every donor.
Due to the amazing success and the excitement created, our matching donors are upping the ante and pledging to match all donations given in next 17 hours — up to $120,000.

Nechama Hackner’s comment sounds like she is doing just that: living and let live! She congratulated the progress of the new mikvah while reminding our community that the CH mikva also needs help. Nothing wrong with that.
Nechama Hackner is my aunt, please send her donations she is doing a great job. From one of your nephews in LONDON UK

It’s only been two hours since the campaign started and almost half of the funds were raised!!! Kol hakovod to out community for getting it together!!! We rock!
This is such great news. It’s about time that people pitched in and helped Moshe Pinson’s ongoing project Mikva Mei Chaya Mushka get their mikva going. It will be a great plus for the neighborhood – finally people working together to get things done! But we of the present Crown Heights mikva, who are working very hard to get it remodeled and up to date, and as the Rebbe told us – very beautiful – we also need help. Who would like to pitch in and donate, and match funds, so that we can finish remodeling our two additional mikvas… Read more »
