Inter-School Convention Begins

The annual Chabad girls Inter-School High School Convention has begun Thursday, with 800 girls from around the world participating.

The annual event, which usually takes place on Chof Bais Shevat, was moved to Yud Tes Kislev so as to accommodate more girls who travel to Crown Heights to participate.

The convention runs through Sunday, with four days of farbrengens, speakers, presentations from the participating schools, entertainment, and exhibits produced by the Bais Rivkah girls.

The event will culminate in a grand banquet Sunday afternoon.

Thursday’s opening event included a Chidon competition of girls from different schools and a concert with Chaya Sara Weiss.

The convention is organized by Bais Rivka High School faculty and students with the intention of strengthening the achdus amongst Chabad girls from around the world.

Participating schools include Bais Rivkah High School of Crown Heights, LGHS – Chicago, New England Hebrew Academy – Boston, Bais Chaya Mushka – Monsey, Yeshiva schools of Pittsburgh, Menachem Mendel Seattle Cheder Day School, Bnos Chaya of Albany, Ohel Chana – Los Angeles, Beis Chana – Miami, Beth Rivkah – Montreal, Bnos Chabad – Baltimore, Bais Chana – New Haven, Bais Chaya Mushka – Crown Heights, Bnos Chabad – Cleveland and Bnos Menachem – Crown Heights.
