Composer Sarah Dukes has released a new single in honor of Leiby Kletzky obm, on his first Yahrtzeit, today, 11 Tammuz.
Little Leiby was kidnapped and murdered on his way home from day camp one year ago, and his disappearance brought the Jewish communities around the world together, as all prayed for his safety and mourned his tragic death.
Dukes was inspired to compose this song after seeing thousands mobilize to help the family search for their beloved son. “This song is about one boy, a boy whom we all loved but never met,” Dukes told COLlive.
“It is about the effect that this one, young, innocent child had on the entire world: he united a nation. He proved that we can work together as one, and showed us that we are one. He taught us that we can have pure, ahavas chinam- even towards someone we have never met. He taught us the power of one: of one individual, of one people, of one heart.”
“Let’s continue to live Leiby’s lesson. Let’s be there to help one man, one woman, one child, one neshama. Let’s have ahavas chinam towards a complete stranger. We can do it. Leiby showed us that we can.”

Sarah, you must have a very pure neshamah! To be able to put feelings into music like this…
Beautiful song Sarah!
Your song is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing it with us!
The inspiration of your melody and message is so much appreciated. The depth of purpose is clearly evident and is a bright light in the darkness of an all-too-often, cruel, and cold world.
Get a life.
Yours truly,
Someone with a life
this made me cry!

Absolutely breathtaking. This is really really wonderful, thank you.
I believe the lyrics would take away the spritual place Sara’s music takes me to. Your music takes me to a quiet place within my self, where I can reach deep within.
I think any lyrics would detract from the beauty and purity of the music.
LISTEN to the music… and HEAR the words the music speaks to you…
Sarah, your music speaks words to me. Congratulations once again.
i dont hear any lyrics only the tune???
Sarah, this song really touches the heart. Your music is unbelievably uplifting and inspiring!
One who understands music, understands the meaning behind it! This song is amazingly powerful!
is there a way to get the sheet music for this?
What a moving message and song! Its amazing how we are all quintessentially ONE and unfortunate that it takes a tragedy to bring it out. Lets feel this unity all the time!
Thank you Sarah Dukes for this beautiful message!
amazingggggggg!
you are unbelievably talented!
Thank You for sharing this with us!
Truly inspiring thank you
Your song is so moving! It brought tears to my eyes!
what a beautiful melody, it is chilling yet soothing to my soul. once, twice, three times is not enough, I keep playing it again and again. the beauty of this tune, reflects the beauty of little leiby a’h
somehow it motivates me to want to do acts of kindness and to just forgive puting our petty egos aside for the sake of ahavas chinam…thank you Ms. Dukes and Mr.Gershovsky
The judicial/correctional system is messed up in more ways than you can imagine. They purposely WAIT a long, long time before they try sick criminals like Aron, so that people should forget about the anger they have toward the criminal.
Brothers, do not let this man get away!
Sarah, you and your music are an inspiration. Thank you for sharing your gift and talent and using it for a kiddish ‘H.
your music is truly amazing i have listened to your album at least 75 times and continue to. this song only adds
Go arrange all that yourself maybe you do the siyum
How about a Siyum on a Mesechta or if every1 took on a Mesechta 2 learn 4 the 1st yartzeit ? Learning 4 his Neshama is way more than a song. Thats all we could do. There has 2 b a Siyum going on 4 sure 4 the 1st Yartzeit. Thank u 4 ur song but I think Lemud HaTorah is way more important than a song 4 this boy. Sorry.
touching.
It makes me cry. Just the thought of his parents left yo bare this pain.
Sarah, one more butiful inspring master piece.
Beautiful message and beautiful song! Sarah, you did it again!
