Chabad of Midtown Manhattan, located on Fifth Avenue at 42 Street, recently added another midtown location.
Chabad of 47th Street, led by Rabbi Shmuel Levitin, will now be located at Radio City Synagogue, in the heart of the Diamond district.
Chabad of Midtown recently assumed directorship of the synagogue which is over 50 years old and features many well attended prayer services throughout the day.
This coming Tuesday, August 31, the new center will host a pre-Rosh Hashanah symposium featuring renowned lecturer Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Jacobson with a talk entitled ?Yomim Noraim, Days of Fear or Days of Love.?
The program will also include renowned maggid shiur Rabbi Faivel Mashinsky, with a talk entitled ?How Can Mortals Coronate Hashem.”
The event will take place at Radio City Synagogue at 30 West 47th Street at 1:00pm. Lunch will be served.
Rabbi Yehoshua Metzger, director of Chabad of Midtown, welcomes Rabbi Levitin to the Chabad Midtown team and invites the public to participate in the ongoing services and programs at Radio City Synagogue.
