The shliach with the tie is Rabbi Shlomo Aouizerat (French shliach in Shanghai) together with Rabbi Greenberg and a man from the Shanghai community.

Me and my chavruseh were in Asia for Merkos Shlichus. I must say the amazing work the Avtzons do in Asia. They really set the groundwork and support for all the shluchim in Asia. On any given night, there are probaly five random people being housed and fed on Mcdonalld Road. Keep up your amazing work!!!

How beautiful it is to see such a splendid event, in a place where even basic yiddishkeit had a hard time making it a quarter century ago. Even ma’asu haboinuim haysah leroish pinah. Today Asia is a badge of pride for yiddishkeit, not to mention in the crown of our dear Rebbe. This monumental achievement was built with his vision, and his refusal to see anything but the greatest potential.
