Rabbi Mendel Gluckowsky of Rechovot, Israel, joined Chabad of his hometown – Toronto to lead the farbrengens in honor of Yud Shvat – and he was certainly kept busy.
On Thursday night the Young Nishei gathered for a Farbrengen with Rabbi Gluckowsky at the home of Yossef and Rochel Adler, while the men of Young Anash joined Rabbi Gluckowsky for a Farbrengen on Friday night at the home of Rabbi Shmuli and Chani Nachlas.
On Shabbos day Rabbi Gluckowsy led a Farbrengen for the whole community until Mincha at the Kiddush at the Chabad Lubavitch Community Center – 770 Chabad Gate.
On Motzoei Shabbos, men and women gathered again for a Melavah Malka where the Rabbi gave a rousing talk about Hiskashrus, and the need for Chasidim to be the legs to the Rebbe’s head.
On Sunday night Young Anash and Young Nishei met with Rabbi Gluckowsky for a question and answer session on matters such as Chinuch, Tznius and many more topics that are uppermost in the mind of a Chossid in this day and age.
The Chabad Lubavitch community of Toronto would like to thank Rabbi Gluckowsky for his dedication and hard work, for the wisdom, passion and inspiration that he shared with our community. We are also indebted to Dr. and Mrs. Arye Steiner for making it all possible.
I am proud and honored to be a member of this wonderful and vibrant community. May we always share in farbrengens and simchas, including the ultimate farbrengen with Moshiach Tzidkeinu, b’karov mamash.
Seeing Rabbi Freeman engrossed in thought is always inspiring. Much can be gained by just observing a chassidishe yid doing his thing…
Nostalgia and lovely memories
