Yud Shvat in Bais Rivkah took on a whole different meaning this year as all the children, from pre- Headstart through Eighth grade, united in taking on many Hachlotos.
Every class learned about the Maamor “Bosi Legani”, from the simple meaning of a garden full of Mitzvos for the Shechina to rest to actually reviewing Oys Aleph of the Maamor. Many students memorized several lines of Bosi Legani.
To bring this concept to everyone’s level, all the girls either wrote or drew their hachlotos on petals that were assembled into flowers and then hung on our staircases from the bottom to the top floor of our building.
As you enter Bais Rivkah you feel like you are walking in this special garden, you can truly feel the Shechina walking up with you.
The eighth grade also created an exhibit of ten Mivtzoim, which each class viewed.
Every time I pick up my kindergartner she shows me her flower! Such a cute idea. It unites everyone together and teaches chassidishe inyanim even to the little ones! I was also impressed by how hard the older girls worked setting them up. Excellent job, organizers!
mine is the orange poster near the pink one in the first pic ( i worked REALLY hard!!)
Last week I had to help my daughter with her birthday goodies and it was so beautiful to see how our daughters experienced hachana leyud shvat. For the girls it was wonderful too. Such chasidishkeit in the hallways and the stairway of BR is definitely making the Rebbe pround! Yahar coach to those who put it together!
