Tonight, Zayin Shevat, family and countless friends will be commemorating Shloshim – 30 days since the passing of Chana Leah Bruk.
Chanchy passed away one month ago, after a very long illness. She was a beloved teacher, mentor and friend and will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Immediately after the Hakomas Hamatzeiva, in close proximity to the Ohel, her family started writing a Sefer Torah, Chanchy’s Torah.
For her first yahrzeit it will be inaugurated at a Shul that she loved, The Shul of Bozeman, Montana where her son Rabbi Chaim Shaul Bruk and his wife Chavie are Shluchim.
Every time she visited Montana, she enjoyed interacting with members of the community and they loved her. She felt at home and loved watching the community grow and flourish.
She wanted to know every detail about the community’s development and activities, from the color of paint they’re using for The Shul and Mikvah to what brought every individual out west. Many would come to Chabad, just to spend time with her.
There is no doubt that a Torah, the first Torah, for the community in Montana, is something that will bring her precious Neshama great comfort and Aliyah.
Friends, family and former students, all of whom were touched and inspired in some way by Chanchy are asked to give generously in her memory.

Please dont be offended if you did not know about the Shloshim gathering. It was intentionally kept to family and very close friends. May she be a “gutte better” for ALL!
The Shloshim gathering was last night.
Where is her Shloshim taking place?
The pain is still so raw. Always in our thoughts. What a positive constructive way to deal with such a tremendous loss.
please post time and place, date information for the Shloshim. I’d like to attend.
