Tuesday, Chof Alef Teves, marks the first yahrtzeit of Pesha Leah (nee Roetter) Azoulay and Avrohom Dovid Liberow, who were tragically killed in a terrible car accident one year ago.
Rabbi Zalman Liberow, a Shliach in Brooklyn, NY was traveling back with his family from a wedding in Grand Rapids, Michigan, when a tractor-trailer lost control on Interstate 80 in Western Pennsylvania, crossing over the median and hitting the minivan they were in.
Avrohom Dovid, his 9 year-old son, was killed in the crash, along with Mrs. Pesha Leah Azoulay, 23, who was a passenger in the car.
Friends of Pesha Leah have established a Sheitel Gemach in her memory, collecting new or gently used wigs for those who are in need.
Over the past twelve months, many women have been the grateful recipients of brand new or gently used sheitels from the Pesha Leah Sheitel Gmach, providing them with a fresh look and a new sheitel with dignity and discretion.
As we mark Pesha’s first yahrtzeit, please help us continue to perpetuate her memory through a mitzvah she most meticulously observed by donating a sheitel to the Pesha Leah Sheitel G’mach.
Sheitels can be dropped off at two convenient Crown Heights locations:
667 Crown Street (between Troy and Schenectady)
686 Eastern Parkway #3L (between Brooklyn and New York)
(Please label sheitels “G’mach”)
