By Divine providence (hashgacha protis), an edited Sicha of the Rebbe discussing Shlichus was discovered as the International Kinus Hashluchim opens this week in Brooklyn, NY.
Rabbi Sholom Ber Levin, Chief Librarian at the Agudas Chassidei Chabad Library adjacent to 770 Eastern Parkway, found a copy of the talk with the Rebbe’s hand-written notations.
Levin passed the copy on to staff of Lahak, a Chassidic institute that publishes the Rebbe’s teachings in collaboration with Kehot Publication Society.
“The sicha was said on the week of Parshas Shlach,” Lahak Director Rabbi Chaim Shaul Brook told COLlive.com. “In it, the Rebbe talks about the shlichus of the spies to Eretz Yisroel, the specialty of the land, and of Jewish women.”
Brook said the original sicha was said in Yiddish and in the printed booklet a Hebrew translation was included as well.
“The sicha will be given out to all shluchim in the personal handbag they receive at the registration to the kinus,” he added.
Copies of the sicha are already circulating in Lubavitch communities and Chabad Yeshivos worldwide.
In one of them, the Mesivta in New Haven, bochurim expressed their joy upon receiving the Sicha with an impromptu farbrengen with L’Chaims and dancing with the group of Talmidim-Shluchim to the Yeshiva.

To my memory, the Rebbe being Mageeha Sichos was such a special occasion, that a mugah sicha could not just get lost!
The story is probably alone worthy of Farbrengen. Please share!
