R. Groner Speaks in S Monica

Over 400 people gathered to commemorate the 3rd Yartzeit of the Shliach Rabbi Avroham Levitansky obm, at Chabad of Simcha Monica.

Many people put on Teffilin before the event in memory of Rabbi Levitansky.

The event opened with the children reciting the 12 pessukim followed by Tehillim recited by Rabbi Isaac Levitansky, Shliach to Simcha Monica.

The Rebbe’s letter was then read by Rabbi Yehoshua B. Gordon, Shliach of the Rebbe and executive director of Chabad of the Valley, and the letter was then translated by Rabbi Eli Hecht, Shliach to the South Bay. Rabbi Yitzchak Arnold blessed the gathering with Birchas Cohanim. Rabbi Eli M. Levitansky, Shliach to Simcha Monica College, Emceed the event.

Special guest speaker Rabbi Leibel Groner, personal secretary of the Rebbe who came in special for the Farbrengen, spoke about the lessons we can learn from Rabbi Levitansky and related many stories.

A video of Rabbi Levitansky featuring his life-long dedication to Chinuch especially with the Released Time programs and Camp Gan Yisroel was shown. A booklet was given out with stories about the Rebbe’s Mivtzoim and how they were done by Rabbi Levitansky.

The meal was followed by a Farbrengen which went into the wee hours of the morning, attended by Rabbonim, Shluchim, Anash, and people from the local area – all friends and Mekurovim of Rabbi Levitansky OBM.
