The names of the candidates for Gabboim of the main shul – 770 has been released for the elections which will take place on Sunday, June 13, 2010.
Candidates are Mordechai Chein, Menachem Gerlitzky, Avrohom Holtzberg, Nochum Kaplinsky, Zalman Lipskier, Yosef Losh, Yossel Motchkin, Uri Niasoff and Yosef Boruch Spielman.
Chein, Lipskier, Niasoff and Spielman are the current Gabboim. Gerlitzky, Holtzberg and Losh are former Gabboim.

How could anyone vote for the present gabboyim when they all clearly went against the p’sak and personal explicit instructions of Rabbi Osdoba not to run. Also there were gaboyim who stepped down from their posts after requested by a Rav , and those who did not run the last time b ecause of Rabbi Osdoba’s previous p’sak.

I think its only right that Yochanan Gordon get the Gabbai Position. I mean, when you mention Gabbai and 770 everyone knows Yochanan Gordon from Dokshitz…..its only fair to keep it in the family.
#9 said what most of us know! I will not vote nor do I enter 770 any longer. What a shame. It was selfish of one group to do to 770 what they did, Damage is done. There is more then enuff shuls to go to – no need to subject my kids or myself to the utter stupidity and nareshkeit of this post gimmel taamuz debacle.

Out with the old – in with the new. The old allowed 770 to be hijacked. We need new people who see things the way we really want 770 – the way it was before!

If one is not in favor of 770 being covered by placards and signs, the waving of flags and the forming of a passageway immediately prior to davening; why
would one place his name on the voter registry for the Gabboim; even if he was elected to to the committee any actions he would propose would be nullified.
We must face the facts, 770 is in the hands of people who have one mindset and will never countenance a different view.
We need ALL new grabboys to achieve achdus!!

here is the problem with the part of the community which claims not to like the current administraion:
THEY DONT RUN. they dont step up they do nothing but wine!
how is it possible,that people that hit someone publicly could have been considered to run?
in most normal communities those people would be asked to leave the community.
