Rudy Giuliani’s father always told him, “Weddings are discretionary, funerals mandatory.” Last week it seemed like the rule was kept in Crown Heights as a slew of people came to console Rabbi Yehuda Krinsky.
Krinsky, Chairman of Merkos L’inyonei Chinuch and Machane Israel, was sitting Shivah in his home on Montgomery Street after the passing of his sister Mrs. Chava Shusterman, a Shlucha of the Rebbe to Chicago.
Visitors recalled Shusterman and her late husband Rabbi Herschel Shusterman as pioneers of the Jewish community in the state of Illinois.
Among the visitors who put differences aside were Rabbi Avrohom Osdoba, member of the Crown Heights Beis Din. Osdoba and Krinsky spoke at length Wednesday evening.
Others who visited were Rabbi Krinsky’s colleagues from the Rebbe’s secretariat: Rabbi Leibel Groner, Rabbi Sholom Mendel Simpson and Rabbi Binyomin Klein.
its amazing how everyone who posts says the same thing .

Very heartning that Rabbi Simpson came – he is a man of peace -never looking for machloikes – all the Mazkirim should all begin coming to each others simchos iy”h
It is so nice to see these people have who have come around and now realize that the only way to move forward is by joining together B’Achdus.
This is very inspiring for our youth to see these people together. Why did we have to learn the hard way?
I agree with you bli shum pikpuk!
It good to see, people give the right kind of Kovod, to the person whom the Rebbe entrusted and appointed, to run Merkos and the other Mosdos of the Rebbe.
Don’t start issues by labeling it “bitul.” For a mitzvah, the Rav does the right thing. Don’t label it bitul.
