Mrs. Devora Scheiner’s Yom Tov Fund distributed holiday food staples from a large truck in front of her home on Montgomery Street Wednesday.
Other items included brand new children’s shoes for grateful recipients.
“People said that if not for this they would not have food on their Yomtov table,” Scheiner, who is involved in charity for over 36 years, told COLlive.
Close to 200 families were assisted this year, all funded by private donations.
