A Jewish Star singing competition previews its contestants: Entrepreneur Tzvi Russell sings the MBD classic 'Someday.'

Musical Aspirations:
This has been an unrealized dream of mine for sometime. My passion to sing knows no boundries and those who know me will testify it's everything to me.

Reality Check:
I've recently started working on a project with brand new compositions which I wrote. I've been fortunate to be working with the talented Zalmy Negin, who also helped produce this audition.

Favorite Singer:
I'm a die hard fan of Mordechai Ben David from the time I picked up the 'V'chol Maminim' album. His voice is like velvet. However, lately there have been some dynamic newcomers like Dovid Stien, Dovid Gabbay, Ari Goldwag, and Michoel Prusansky, just to name a few...and of course Avrohom Fried.

Favorite Song:
That's a tough one, there a ton of great music out there and my favorites are forever changing. However if I were to choose just one all-time favorite I think it just might be "Someday. "

A Jewish Star:
A brilliant concept, for too long artists have had no real forum to showcase their talent. I hope this becomes a permanent stage for all future artists. Whether I win or lose, I've enjoyed the experience, which has led me to follow my dream and avail myself for weddings and bar mitzvas and other events.
