There’s no better way to learn than to experience it. The girls in Beis Chana Tzfat, under the supervision of Shliach Rabbi Aharon Eliezer Ceitlin from Tzfas, had the zchus to do just that with a 10 day trip to Ukraine and Russia; experiencing, seeing, and reliving our Chabad history.
Visiting the Ohelim of the Rabbeim, being in the very places that the chassidus was said and lived, walking in the footsteps the Chassidim took with Mesiras Nefesh…. It was the trip of a lifetime where we gained a deep appreciation of who we are, where we come from, and what we are lucky enough to have today.
The general itinerary of the trip included:
Connecting to our past through visiting the Ohelim of the Besht in Mezhibush, the Maggid in Anipoli, the Alter Rebbe in Haditch, the Mitteler Rebbe in Niezhin, and the Tzemach Tzedek and Rebbe Maharash in Lubavitch.
Experiencing the present and future through visiting the Mosdos, Shluchim, and their incredible work in Zhitomir, Berditchev, Malachovka, Bryansk, Smolensk, Moscow, and Kiev.
Some of the highlights of the trip included a farbrengen with the women in Slavita; the city where the Tanya was printed the first time, Shabbos Mevarchim Teves in Mezhibush, a program with the Yaldei Hashluchim in Moscow, a visit to the Kever of R’ Avraham Hamalach in Fastov, and to the Rebbe Maharash’s son-in-law in Malachovka.

We would like to publicly thank Rabbi Ceitlin for EVERYTHING he did for our trip. no words… endless hours of preparation, with complete devotion and care, before on, and after the trip. We felt like we took a trip with one of the good old russian chassidim who knew the place, farbrenged with us, guided us beruchnius the whole time. We REALLY appreciate it! Only Rabbi Ceitlin lift us from asiya gashmi, to atzilus mamash, or even kesser for two weeks. THANK YOU! we are greatful.
