Freeda wigs has recently moved to a new location on East New York Avenue in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights.
A huge building is being redone, creating thousands of square feet of space for inventory. The wig company, founded by Freeda Kugel 40 years ago, is renowned worldwide as trendsetters in the multi-million dollar custom wig industry.
The new location will house a warehouse, showroom and full service salon with walk-in appointments.
“The new space provides our customers with comfort, convenience and a pleasant shopping experience,” said Dovid Kugel, CEO of Freeda. “Freeda continues to grow and innovate, constantly working to improve our service.”
I got two beautiful freedas when i got married a year ago and they are still like new
I only buy Freedas and get many compliments. Every woman I know who has a Freeda is super happy, I’ve never heard from anyone that they were unhappy with a Freeda. IN fact just today a friend of mine who has her shaitel since her marriage 5 years ago is still thrilled with the quality of her Freeda wig.
After having two Freedas, all of which lasted beautifully for 10 years of marriage,(with small adjustments like adding hair and changing combs) I got a great anniversary present- A new Freeda!!!I I went to their new showroom, found a wig, fit it, cut it and took it home that very same day! They have an AMAZING, high end stylist, (who, by the way does make-up too. I came while he was finishing hair and make up on a girl whose best friend was getting married that night! ) Their saleslady was sweet and patient, and the whole experience was super… Read more »
I have a Freeda and I love it! It always looks great, and I always get compliments on it. For anyone who had a bad experience – it happens with all wig companies. Many times its just luck, sometimes the best wigs from the best companies have problems – you just have to make sure to keep going back until you get it right.
Your wigs are the best in the business.
Keep up the great work! Much success in your new home!
“After 3 years the sheitel had deteriorated much worse than a sheitel is supposed to at that age” …
This must have been a human wig, right? Boruch Dayan Emes!
I agree with you. I also had a story with my sheitel that was clearly faulty from the start. I went to the sheitel macher after a couple of months who didn’t go back to the company and tried to fix it herself. After 3 years the sheitel had deteriorated much worse than a sheitel is supposed to at that age. I decided to call them and see what they would do to help me, but being that it was 3 years they would only fix it at an estimated charge of 1G to fully repair it! I said forget… Read more »

Love the shaitels. Hatzlacha raba!
I bought a sheitel many years ago, but it was sooo itchy that I could never really wear it. After a few years, another sheitel macher explained to me that they use(d?) glue to hold the hair in. What a waste of a sheitel (it was very pretty, but useless to me). I hope that the sheitel makers and machers are more honest and upfront today about what you are spending thousand(s) of hard earned money on.
love it dave-knock em dead!!!
