At the end of the shiva period after the tragic events of Mumbai last year, the writing of a Sefer Torah began in the Rebbe’s room.
The completion of this Torah will take place at a gala event during the upcoming International Kinus Hashluchim in Brooklyn, NY.
The Thursday evening program (after the Kinus general session) will include the writing of the final letters of the Torah and words of inspiration from dignitaries including Rabbi Nachman Holtzberg and Rabbi Shimon Rosenberg, the fathers of the Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg of blessed memory.
The entire Kinus will proceed to 770 for the Hachnosos Sefer Torah – with the participation of Anash of Crown Heights – followed by farbrengens in honor of this momentous occasion.
After the Kinus this special Sefer Torah will be brought to Mumbai to be used in the re-established Chabad Center there.
Shluchim have the opportunity to purchase and inscribe a letter in trough the online Kinus registration.
COLlive was told that Lubavitchers and the general public are welcome to join in purchasing letters.

#1 don’t make everything political ok. It is an insult to the memory of the kedoshim who stood for ahavas yisroel. The Sefer Torah is going to be in 770 anyway
