Chabad of Brooklyn Heights opened their new 4,000 sq foot pre-school in style with a Sefer Torah dedication.
Rabbi Aaron Raskin greeted dignitaries, Congresswoman Yvette D. Clarke and State Senator Daniel Squadron for a ribbon cutting ceremony which was preceded by a Rosh Hashannah themed street festival attended by hundreds.
The Torah dedication parade made its way through the Brooklyn Book Festival at Borough Hall Plaza where Brooklyn Borough president Marty Markowitz proclaimed the new Torah, “the longest selling book in history”.
