The upcoming International Kinus Hashluchim in New York will pay tribute to the fellow Shluchim murdered by terrorists in India.
The life and work of Rabbi Gavriel and Rivka Holtzberg will be saluted in an array of events during the November 11 – 16, 2009 conference in Brooklyn.
Both parents of the late couple, Rabbi Nachman Holtzberg and Rabbi Shimon Rosenberg, are expected to address the Shluchim at the Melave Malka and the gala banquet.
On Nov. 26, 2008, days after the last Kinus Hashluchim, terrorists invaded the Chabad House and took six of its Jewish occupants hostage, including the Holtzbergs.
Merkos L’Inyonei Chinuch began writing a new Torah in their memory shortly therafter and will offer the Shluchim to join in writing a letter during the Kinus.
The Torah is being written by R’ Moshe Klein of Hasofer.
Once completed, on Thursday, November 12, it will be brought to Lubavitch World Headquarters 770.
And what exactly would constitute worth something according to you? For Heavens’ sake.
