Chaya Dalia Yael, a longtime member of the Crown Heights community and former teacher, passed away on Shabbos, Gimmel Tammuz, 5778.
Chaya Dalia was a beloved teacher at Oholei Torah Pre-school in East Flatbush for many years.
Chaya Dalia was known for her connection to the Rebbe and Chassidus.
A beloved and known personality in Crown Heights, she was a fixture at many community simchas.
The levaya will take place in Israel.

מה היה לנו It’s very bad for me; I gave her brochos so many times and truly believed, in her merit, that ”ה would make sure they’d be realized, in a revealed way, in her lifetime on this earth, in this present tekufah, and I promised myself that I will somehow make sure that these brochos will come to pass… but the other parts of life took over, and I didn’t, and now I can’t… Crown Heights and 770 are not the same without her! She was so trusting and so fervent, and so emes. It’s clear I have to… Read more »
she was friendly with my mother in law who also always constantly begged and urged HASHEM for MOSHIACH now she can join her and Beit for MOSHIACH RIGHT NOW
it’s beautiful to see 68 comments on collive for chaya dalia. in her quiet way, always doing good things, but never got much recognition. now finally she is recognized for the tzadekes she was. thank you collive. thank you Hashem for sharing her with us all these years.
It’s Wednesday morning and I can’t stop thinking about sweet Chaya Dalya
She always passed by me, saying, “you should have more children!”. A special neshama. BDE.
I met her a few times and I was so touched by her kindness she was a pure heilig soul, we will all miss you, what a loss to the world.
I remember every Shabbas by Kingston shul she after each Kria she would ask Hashem to take sholom Mordechai out and for everyone to say Amen
She helped many people in 770, always putting the sefarim back and cleaning up Kingston shul
I was wondering where she was the past few weeks, such shocking news :((
BDE
It says that in this world everything is upside down. In the next world the soul is shown how it is the humble people in this world who are so great and honored in truth.
Someone who lived Torah & chassidus & Moshiach, how could she not live to greet Moshiach?! May her Neshama have the highest aliyah!!
chaya dalia was such a good friend of mine we wood always talk and she was and will still be such a special person to me
🛑פרק התהילים של חיה דליה הוא ס”ה🛑
Chaya Dalia i cant believe it. Were u sick and no one knew :((((, what happened? We believed you and your holy work would bring moshiach!! PLZ DONT GIVE UP on us AND STORM the heavens as ONLY YOU CAN !!!!
BRING MOSHIACH NOW!!!
She always blessed me to have more children and always gave my daughter something nice 770 will never be the same
True humble neshama!
She said :
Always speak positively on another yid !!
and post
She always blessed us to buy a house. Every time she saw me. If i remember correctly. Didnt know her well. Just as a lady who always blessed me when i saw her.
The soap was often purchased with her own funds as 770 did not provide for it adequately. All of us who knew her are all mourning the loss of our dear Jewish sister even while we are unable to pay a shiva call to her family. They should be comforted with the mourners of Zion and Jerushayim. I believe she provided shmira for 770 as much as any Torah scholars with all of her mitzvoth both hidden & revealed could. Hope and pray fervently for משיח to come now!!
Boruch dayen emes. A special soul that never gave up on her dream of a chabad house in east Flatbush and lived with the joy of Purim sameach all year long. May her neshama have an Aliyah and May we do mirzvot in her memory.
I’ve seen her cleaning the benches in the Kingston shul w paper towels on Friday in honor of Shabbos and making sure the bathroom had liquid soap…
Her family is sitting shiva at the Sharabi family home in Nahalat Har Chabad 178/8
but what a special person… an entire shul is saying she was a tzadekes and is bringing mashiach. And to pass away on Gimmel Tammuz….what an amazing Nechama she must have had. Sorry i never had chance to meet her.
She was a very simple but high and special neshama. Was not capable of being sheker. Whatever she thought or felt she said. If she thought something wasn’t kosher or proper you would hear about it from her fast. That extreme forthrightness caused her a lot of personal troubles unfortunately. She should have the one of highest Aliyas ever. Complete mesiras nefesh to bring Moshiach I believe!
Such a special woman. We’ll miss you Chaya Dalia!
Please storm the heavens and bring Moshiach the same way you demanded it here and demanded a yeshua for sholom Mordecai!
Thank you for all of your Brochos you benched us all with!!!
What was her perek in tehilim to say for her?
שם אביה הוא שלמה
Please post shiva details.
She was my kinder garden morah. Such a sweet kind person. I remember she was the morah that I liked.
For over 30 years! once a week! In any weather condition, she organized a Shiur all over Brooklyn and connected people to the Rebba through all his Mivtzaim. in her merit kids were born with Taharas hamishpocha, couple got married according to halacha, Jewish kids were sent to yeshivos and many more Mitzvos. she kept in contact with hundreds of families, bringing them closer to avinu sbashmayim.
May her nashma bring us Moshich now!
When I was expecting she crossed the street to make sure that I had a shiur l’ maalos. Very special lady
בית חבד איסט פלטבוש תיקנו בית משיח נאוו. What a tzadeikis we had in our midst. Same goes for so many more living wonderful people in Crown Heights. G-d Bless you All…
Rabbi Lider looked out her too. He raised the money for her final trip to Eretz Yisroel, where doctors tried desperately to save her life. Hashem wanted her back though – on a special date – Gimmel Tamuz. I guess we were not worthy of her presence.
She was an angel! She was full of gemilut chasadim!
That would be so amazing and befitting!
Chaya dalya was a great person . Always cared for others . Did so much mivzahim was such a kind and honest person a her hiskashrus to the rabbi was so strong and asked for the coming of moshiach .chaya dalya sure by the rabbi and will beg for moshiach to come .
She wanted moshiach to come
She was my kindergarten teacher. I could never forget her, such a kind soul.
a great thing in her zchus would be to fix up the east Flatbush mikvah and dedicate it in her name. So many times did she express her wish for a Chabad house in East Flatbush.
and Rebbetzin Teitelbaum for a few years up until he was niftar. She was so happy to have the zechus to help them.
There was a lot more than meets the eye
I will try to write again. I think we have lost one of the very few of this kind
She was a true chosid. She used to tell me how much she wanted to marry – I used to daven for her to marry but she never did. May Hashem bring the geula shlaima.
shlomo
Special person who cared for everyone and went out to help everyone. May she have a lichtege Gan Eden. The people who cared for her and got her to Israel deserve a lot of credit
May she have a lichtigeh Gan Eden. I’m sure she’ll do whatever she can to help bring Moshiach !
It’s been my opinion for a long time now that she is a lamed vovnick… All the pieces fit. May she beg for Moshiach
She was the only one who was pained by the discord in the Ezras nashim, crying every day.
Chaya Dalia bas Shlomo was a true chosid of the Rebbe, and now shares his yhartzeit.
May her memory be for a blessing.
She always. Stopped me and gave me many blessing she has for make for mivtoyim and always made sure to tell me it’s not for Personal use! What a sweet Lady:( bde may her neshama reach the highest Aliya!
Such sad news..may her neshama have an aliya
BDE she always gave me Brochos for health and begged for Moschiach. Her brochos should be mekuyam and maschiach should come now. Big zchus to have been niftar on Gimmel Tammuz!
Can’t imagine coming to 770 and not seeing Chaya Dalia. She unofficially welcomed everybody.
תנצבה
יהי זכרה ברוך ענייני העולם לא תפסו מקום אצלה רק הרבי 770
Chaya Dalia’s father’s name is Shlomo.
wasn’t for her personal needs. She would sometimes give it to Rabbi Groner or someone that she felt was needier than herself or to buy food for Farbrengen’s in Ezras Noshim. Baruch Dayan Emes! I looked forward to her presence in 770. If she was there somehow everything seemed almost alright.
Sorry to hear – Chaya Dalia we will miss you, you don’t even
realize. How many times did she ask for brochos for Shalom Mordechai when putting the Torah in the aron and people said amen. Her presence will be missed by so many and if we do mitzvos in her name she’ll know we care.
Will be missed
There wasnt a shabbos a yomtov a day of Krias Hatirah that ChayA Dalia didnt beg Der Aibishter to free Sholom Mordechai ben Rivkah OUT OF JAIL NOW!!!
SHE NEVER NEVER FORGOT AND THE CROWD IN KINGSTON SHUL WUD ANSWER CLEAR OMEIN!!!!
I know her mother was Neima. A mother’s name is used when you daven for someone when they are alive.
But after a person passes you remember them by the father’s name.
If anyone can find out for t would be very much appreciated.
This is shocking news! I grew up knowing chaya dalia! She was always giving brochos, helping and buisy with torah and mitzvahs! She was really mekushar to the rebbe, no doubt she was taken on such a special day!
BDe her Neshama should have an Aliya
We’ll bmiss her . We always see her in 770:(
Moshiach now !!!
Ezras Noshim won’t be the same without her. Very special lady, a gutte neshama. Very devoted to the Rebbe’s inyonim and a true chassidiste. Passed on Shabbos Gimmel Tammuz no less. Please please משיח כאו!
She loved Yiddishkeit and the Rebbe
May she have a lichtige Gan Eden
& be a gute beter for us all
Baruch Dayan HaEmes.
Chaya Dalia what a special Neshama, what a tremendous loss to us all.
We Want Moshiach Now!
Very sad. She was a caring person who was so connected to the Rebbe. I’m sure she’ll have a Lichtige Gan Eden.
BS”D I second # 1 and may Hashem comfort her family
A special Neshoma! BDE
Hashem took her neshama on a special day
My kindergarten teacher.
she was a special woman
BDE chaya dalia was very devoted to the rebbe and chassidus. She was very involved with 770.
Unfortunately she had a hard life but was very giving in spite of that. She really cared which is a trait that is hard to find.
I really loved her and will miss her as she was someone very special.
Do you have levaya info and shiva info in israel?
Moshiach NOW
Oy, what a loss
May she have a lichtige gan eden.
Moshiach now
