Awesome Shlichus Opportunity for 9th & 10th grade Girls this Summer!
Camp Gan Israel in the Poconos will to be offering for a 3rd summer an enhanced Shluchos In Training (S.I.T.) Program for Lubavitch girls currently in 9th and 10th grade.
Excited to direct this program is Mrs. Sarah Ives, who is on shlichus at Syracuse University and works with undergraduate students. She spends her year promoting Jewish pride and bringing the joy and depth of Yiddishkeit to Jewish students. Mrs. Ives looks forward to spending her summer bringing her valuable real-life Shlichus experience to the next generation of shluchos.
What makes the SIT program a unique opportunity for this age group, is the hands-on training made possible by being part of CGI in the Poconos, a premier overnight camp geared for girls from public school backgrounds.
The SIT’s under Mrs. Ives Leadership will gain skills in the following core areas:
Leadership Skills
Time Management
Team Building
Program planning and implementation
Outdoor Survival Skills
The program runs for 4 weeks, from 14 Tammuz – 12 Av / June 27 – July 24.
In addition to learning invaluable leadership skills, the SITs will be privy to all that camp has to offer including a scenic private lake, olympic size swimming pool, art studio and sport courts. Professional instructors will lead activities in the areas of performing & visual arts, sports and nature discovery. Grand trips and off camp ground adventures create an exciting and engaging jam-packed schedule.
Most importantly, CGI in the Poconos’ SIT Program will be infused with Chassidishkeit. Shiurim along with farbrengens, inspiring Shabbos guests and discussions to internalize the learning will highlight the experience and will give the girls a unique hands-on Shlichus opportunity.
A great group of girls has already signed up, and in order fill the last few spots we are offering a special price, for more info call 845.425.0903 or email [email protected].
