Message from Rabbi Michoel Chazan
Director of Chaplaincy Services, Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center
As you all know, last week a member of our community was viciously attacked on the way home from shul at Kingsbrook Medical Center.
We are inviting the community, as a show of solidarity with the Moskowitz family and the families who live and daven on this side of the community, to join us this Shabbos.
Please come daven this Shabbos at the shul in Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center. We need to show we are here to stay on this side of our neighborhood, and we are one community.
If we could have a few members of each shul come and participate, this would be greatly appreciated.
Address: 585 Schenectady Ave. Shabbos entrance on Rutland Rd. and East 49th St.
Shachris 10:00 a.m.
Kiddush/Farbrangen 12:45-2:00 p.m.

will rabbi chazan farbreng,is the kiddush supplied by the hospital, will their be a woman’s section?
Hi Michoel,
That’a a great idea. Maybe start making a Kidush/Farbrengen every shabbos (if you don’t already) and you will have a nice turn out on a regular basis. I know I would go there if I lived in Crown Heights.
Can there be extra police presence ?
Maybe the communal Jewish leaders and rabbinic should so support and No politicians or tv cameras
Excellent that’s a great idea
Great idea!
We are waiting for Moshiach today…but in the meantime, derech hateva, the future homes of many Crown Heights Anash with growing families will probably be in that part of the neighborhood, since prices in other nearby areas are prohibitive for young people unfortunately. We need to show Gaon Yaakov, that we will not be intimidated.
Great idea! Thank you for mentioning this, Rabbi Chazan. This is a fitting response to a terrible occurrence. We must support that part of the neighborhood, and give chizuk to our friends
This is how your fight violence – not by having a press conference
