S’fira provides a challenge to bring out creativity that might not otherwise be manifested. This is beautiful and a tribute to the ingenuity of the Jewish soul.
I listen to this literally all the time i need my music fix and this is really helpful!!
All due respect, I think it is not pointless to hear acapella sound like other music! That is the incredibl brilliance of this music, that human voices and sounds are making that music! It’s genius! You could be fascinated with that talent, or you could poopoo it. You chose the 2nd, I choose the 1st!
Beautiful & toda rabba vehatzlacha!
There’s definitely a difference between (even very upbeat) a capella music and instrumental music but like you’re saying this isn’t necessarily 100% a capella. There is likely some digital music made from voice samples. Listen before and after 1:30, it’s seems to be digitally produced music from a voice.
Interestingly last year there was a post of “a capella” music made from random samples, basketball, scissors etc. But if you think about it what is an instrument if not making sounds with random things like tight strings (guitar, piano) , reed (saxophone), or digitally produced music with a keyboard?
The point of acapella is that it’s clearly different from music otherwise you may as well just listen to music
However, as for the name…
“A tractate refers to a written work dealing formally and systematically with a subject; the word derives from the Latin tractatus, meaning treatise.
It is often used in reference to a section of the Talmud, when the term Masekhet (Hebrew: מסכת) is used in conjunction with the name of the subject, for example, Masekhet Berakhoth.”
