Rabbi Yonah Levenhartz, one of the elder Chasidim of Kfar Chabad, Israel, passed away Thursday, Adar 28, 5778.
He was 87.
He is survived by his wife, Devorah (nee Gorodetsky) and children Yosef Yitzchok Levenhartz – Kfar Chabad, Israel, Mrs. Raya Begun – Brazil, Mrs. Fruma Lipsker – Petach Tikvah, Israel, Sholom Levenhartz – Kfar Chabad, Israel, Mrs. Chana Vogel – London, Motti Levenhartz – Kiev, Mrs. Dini Heber – Crown Heights and Shmulik Levenhartz – Kfar Chabad, Israel.
The levaya will take place tonight from his home in Shchunas Levi Yitzchok in Kfar Chabad, to Shamgar Funeral home, and burial in Har Hazeisim.

a book could be written about R’ yonah AH..His attachment to the Rebbe, as witnessed by his stand at Lud airport for greeting people and asking them to don tefillin, etc. (He would especially wait for planes from russia, since he spoke russia and wanted to be the first one to greet them in the name of the Rebbe).these planes would often come in at 6 am and he was already there, waiting for them..his great Ahavas yisroel for every yid, always looking to do a favor, help out monetarily or in different ways .
