Hundreds of CTeeners took on NYC Friday, in style. Teens were treated to touring, site seeing, and a taste of New York City with excursions such as the Freedom Tower, the new Tour Bus experience in Times Square, and a visit to the Statue of Liberty.
“It feels like we took over New York!” shared Claire Segal, CTeen leader of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. “Everywhere I turn, I see another CTeen chapter!”
The teens returned to Crown Heights for Shabbos, where they were treated to a 5 star Shabbat experience; the girls program featured a pre-Shabbos concert with former Broadway star Liron Gavri, while the boys got a taste of Yeshiva life, with Chevrusa style learning and davening in 770. Later that evening Nissim Black shared his story with both groups.
“Moving the boys program to 770 was a big feat, one that we are very proud of,” shared Rabbi Dovid Weinbaum, shliach to West Suffolk County, NY. “Our goal is to give the teens a meaningful, concrete taste of Yiddishkiet. There’s no better place to do it than in 770.”
