This robotic arm Menorah was made by Mendel Grossbaum, an almost Bar Mitzvah shliach to Folsom, CA.
The Robotic Arm Menorah is controlled by programming written by Mendel for an Arduino Uno microcontroller board that ensures that the robotic arm “lights” the correct branches of the menorah in the correct sequence.
120 LED lights respond to the programming to create the “lighting” effect and after all the “candles” are lit the robotic arm does a little dance and takes a bow before beginning the sequence from the start. Here is a video of the Menorah in action.
This Menorah won last year’s Menorah Competition, a part of the annual Chanukah Wonderland event, hosted by Chabad Jewish Community Center of Folsom. The event has grown to be the largest Chanukah event in the entire Sacramento region – with over 1000 people attending this year.

It’s nice that it provided the part list, but can the C++/.ino file and the pin wiring schematics be provided as well so those who want to try it at home can?
(And happy birthday Yossi!)
