Creators of an app which keeps track of Mivtzoim of the Rebbe and counts every Mitzvah that you perform with another Jew made a big delivery at the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens this week.
App creator Rabbi Eli Schlanger of Sydney, Australia, was joined by the primary sponsor Mr. Gabriel Kushnir, to deliver reports of 22,870 Mitzvos recorded by the app since its launch a year ago in 2016.
Together they delivered reports of 11463 Tefillin, 3428 Shabbos candles, 567 Mezuzos, 132 Jewish books, 1851 Torah classes, 1300 Tzedaka, 194 Kosher homes, 284 Ahavas yisroel, 494 Jewish education for children, 200 Family purity, 735 Moshiach campaign, 1186 letter in a Sefer torah, 13 Aseres hadibros, 252 Purim, 645 Chanukah, 83 Shofar, 522 Lulav, 374 Matza, and 397 Sheva Mitzvos.
“Miraculously, the total of 22,870 Mitzvos, give or take a few hundred dollars, is around about the money spent on developing the app,” said Rabbi Schlanger.
With a click of a button, app users are able to send a complete detailed Duch -report to the Rebbe. The report prompts your default email application, generating and merging all your stats including your registered name and mother’s name. Additionally, there is an option to include the names of the Mivtzoim participants.
“I am very proud of the support that’s been given to the app, the nachas it’s brought to the Rebbe and the pleasure it brings to Hashem,” said Mr. Kushnir. “We really hope for a 100% increase, year on year, in mitzvos reported.”
