As Mechanchos around the world are getting ready for a year of being there for their students, the Menachem Education Foundation is working hard to ensure that we can be there for Mechanchos.
Workshops given online make it possible for teachers in various locations to learn and be supported in the comfort of their own homes. Individualized coaching provides the one on one support that is so crucial for teachers, especially those who are just starting out.
On 24 Menachem Av – August 16th, Mrs. Sara Rosenfeld, EdD, will be giving a two hour workshop on “Transforming Your Chumash Lesson,” demonstrating a model lesson that shows how various Chumash skills can be woven together, leading ultimately to the horaah of what is being learned! Soon after, a five week course provides comprehensive training on Classroom Management and Student Rapport. Running on Tuesday evenings from Rosh Chodesh – 28 Elul / Aug. 22 – Sept. 19, this course is presented by Ms. Chani Kramer, a veteran teacher in both elementary and high schools and principal of Chabad Girls Academy. “I love how it’s geared for our children, in our schools, and based on Chassidus and Yiddishkeit,” shared Mrs. Sara Overlander, a Toronto mechaneches, after taking this course last year. “My classroom runs more smoothly than before, and the students benefit from the various learning formats mentioned. Even though I’ve been teaching for 11 years, this course has transformed my classroom.”
Personal coaching by a team of veteran mechanchos is offered throughout the year as well, in combination with the online courses or on its own.
“When I started out as a teacher, I would have benefitted so much from some practical tools and guidance to smooth my way into the classroom,” says Mrs. Chanah Rose, Educational Director at MEF. “That’s why we at MEF are so passionate about bringing these opportunities to all teachers – so that they can be supported in doing what they came to the classroom for, which is to reach the neshamos in their care.”
Mechanchim can also inquire about their year-long Teacher Induction Program, starting next week, and further opportunities for them throughout the year.

This is an amazing program.
The Menachem Education Foundation is really changing our schools for the better, I’m sure the Rebbe’s proud.
My daughter is beginning her first year of teaching and is excited to have these courses to start her off on the right foot!
I went onto the link to see about the course, but I see it is for a charge. I would be interested in joining, in upgrading my teaching skills, but not for a cost. Why charge?
That is so wounderfull is it only for women? How about for the men? The truth is men need it even more then the women I have had many really good female teachers over the years but men that’s a different story I can count less then a hand full of good ones, please train and help the men who are trying to be melamdim they really have no clue how to help our boys
I wish I had the classroom management course when I started teaching… I almost quit in my first year!
