Election season is in full swing as the Sept 12 Democratic primary is just over a month away.
Wednesday, city council candidate Henry Butler stopped by the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council to hear from Rabbi Chanina Sperlin about issues of concern to the Jewish community.
Mr. Butler is one of nine candidates running to replace Darlene Mealy in the 41st district that includes areas of Crown Heights between Utica Ave and Lincoln Terrace Park, as well as the area south of Empire Blvd between Kingston Ave and Utica, and further east into East Flatbush.
can get the city to fix the tap water as l’d already went to dov hikind and c, gillibrand[head of envirnmental acy], as l undersood from the hamodia paper it was broken, gov’er gave 2 million to fix it, it was ok for a few months, but l feel the stickness back in the water, l email y berman, did not get a respond, the community council does nothing, no one seems to care
Looking forward to Henry, with his experience as Chair and District Manager of Community Board 3, bringing in well needed resources to our community. It was with Henry initiative that a Train at Fulton Street now has a full service elevator both on Eastern Parkway to service the elderly, disabled and families with carriages.
He definitely has a track record and experience working closely with government agencies that will enable him to hit the ground running and get to work on the issues such as affordable housing, maintaining existing housing stock and educational improvements for all.
We are truly blessed to have R’ Chanina in our community. He always looks out for us!
