During their visit to Berlin, the Duke and the Duchess of Cambridge celebrated the Queen’s birthday with a party at the British ambassador’s residence on Wednesday.
Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal, rabbi of the Jewish community of Berlin, was invited to the event and conversed with the royal couple.
Prince William shared that it was a very important part of their trip to visit the Holocaust memorial in Berlin to remember the past.
Rabbi Teichtal noted that surely we all should remember the past and the best way to remember the past is by affecting the present and the future society.
As a young man, the Duke plays an important role of being a symbol for the youth around the world.
With those words, Rabbi Teichtal introduced his daughter Mussiya who conducted a school project about the royal family and then he blessed the Duke and Dutchess in the name of the Jewish community.
I am proud that the royal family of my country found it important to show respect to a tragedy of the Jews.
A huge kiddush Hashem.
Very proud of the shsliach and proud to be a Britt.
Thanks for taking the words out of my mouth. It’s about time shluchim of our Rebbe, should look like shluchim as when they did before gimmel tammuz! So happy as well, to see prince William! !!!!
So happy to see this. Prince Williams great grandmother saved jews in the war and shes buried in Israel. And Prince Charles loves the Torah and the last Chief Rabbi of London.
Long live the Queen. Gd save the Queen. Royalty is Royalty
To rabbi tiechtel in appearing in his complete chassidic garb
Too often ,we see otherwise when shluchim meet dignitaries
Looks like a picture of mutual respect. Very nice.
