She’s a Chabad Shlucha, a wife, a mother of 6 children and a social media star.
Thousands have watched Libby Nachimovsky on Facebook and YouTube as she candidly and even humorously documents her hectic life on video.
In a series labeled “Libbyland,” Nachimovsky opens her daily Chassidic life in the central Israeli village of Kfar Chabad to the public. She shows that the challenges and chores aren’t much different from others.
One clip shows her morning routine of trying to get her daughter dressed and ready for the school day. It is an agonizing process as the young girl repeatedly rejects all available options.
In another clip, posted ahead of Shavuos, Nachimovsky offers to help viewers to make a cheesecake in under 20 minutes. She then goes on to show herself picking up the car keys and taking her 6 children to the bakery.
Not only videos made their rounds, but also her observations on life. A widely shared status of hers reads: “I really believe in Hashgacha Pratis (Divine Providence): If all three skirts that I like are on sale, it’s a sign that I need to buy all three.”
Nachimovsky is a graduate of the film school of the Reshet television network. In a recent interview on television, she was asked about the reactions she gets to the clips from within the frum community.
“I have gotten comments that it might not be the standard of tznius to expose my family and myself like this, but most comments are positive,” she said, adding that the videos help her “share the message that even a haredi and a Chabadnik have a life and are people.”
As reported on COLlive.com, Libby and her husband Rabbi Yakov Nachimovsky were appointed last year as the Chabad Shluchim to Greece’s largest island of Crete.
“There are a quater of a million Israelis and Jewish tourists that come to Crete every summer,” she said before the establishment of Chabad Crete. “This won’t be a regular Chabad House. It will be a boutique Chabad House.”
The couple has since led a large Pesach Seder at a local hotel, along with other activities such as minyanim and Torah classes. They are exploring the option to relocate there permenantly.
When she attended the International Kinus Hashluchim conference in New York this year, she brought viewes along for the trip showing them life in Crown Heights, as well as highlight of the Kinus such as visiting the Rebbe’s Ohel and the gala banquet.
Time will tell whether she will continue to film her life from Crete – her many Israeli fans would surely love that idea. In the words of television reporter Natali Barada, “you are definitely Brings people together.”

Libby definitely has talent. No one is debating that . Why should you label somone that has a view different to yours as jealous and unproductive. .?
As far as this being a missed opportunity,I definitely agree. The Rebbe taught us that a Chossid is mekushar in every aspect .
“עסט א חסיד,גייט א חסיד,שלאפי א חסיד״
I am sure number twelve is a nice person. I believe her response, like mine re sometimes,a bit hasty. If we think ,what would the rebbe say …the rest is obvious.
Libby you are so talented!! And such a great and fun mom!! Please keep sending the videos
is an oxymoron!
why is seeing a kid wash negel vasser and say shma “preachy?” it’s as normal a part of what a frum kid does as eating or giving mom a hard time getting dressed, yes?
you took the words out of my mouth. thank you for bringing it to this family’s attention. this shlucha’s uniqueness is that she is a shluchah, not that she filmed a typical day in the life of a mom showing how B”H hectic being a mom can be. there’s nothing particularly unique about that. as a shluchah she should be viewing these clips as a golden opportunity to demonstrate to her viewers how normal, frum mishpachos raise their families – to joyfully prepare negel vasser, make brochos, say shma etc. etc. and how this does not detract from being cute… Read more »
Libby will get to it, but first she wanted people to watch.
Libby was not sent to be another FB star. There are plenty of those.
Super funny, i can relate… yeah throw in a night time shema… mezzonos bread people!
Be Matzliach, lots of Nachas Chasidisher Nachas
Don’t get distracted by the ( Jealous/unproductive) comments
It is a lighthearted quick video and not teaching moments and lectures/why is everything always dissected and criticized? If u all can do better then do one yourself. These are watched because they are not meant to be preachy-just funny.Good grief-can’t people ever be supportive???
I agree with #6. I presume, netilas yadayim and brochos are said by family members but it was a missed opportunity to
showcase it especially to the non yet frum.
Hatzlacha raba in Crete.
#6 Couldn’t agree more, even if only an act.
Moreover, it is totally inappropriate for a host of reasons on many levels.
Like it, just shows the world we are human like all
The one with sleeping in a vehicle is so not real. If you want people to take you seriously on the other ones, this one could get you in real trouble . I would be more careful to be more real. Having children is not a showcase, and if it’s not real life why pretend.
What a great opportunity this could be…but unfortunate to see that there was no netilas yadayim before the sandwich or shema when the kids went to bed…not saying the family doesn’t do these things, but if you’re trying to show lubavitch and frum yidden to the world, one cannot leave yiddishkeit out. Yes it would be wonderful for people who don’t understand that we lead “normal lives” to understand that, it’s more important for us to be lamplighters, starting with basic halacha. Also, just wondering what a boutique Chabad house is…
HILARIOUS!!!!!
LOVE THE REALITY OF SLEEPING IN THE VEHICLE. WOULDN’T BE TRUE BUT SOUNDS AMAZING
Looking forward seeing Incorporated a Jewish theme as making a bracha kissing mezuzahs ect. Success with all your holy work
very funny
wow!
amazing
