Many thousands joined the Toronto Great Jewish Family Festival for Lag Baomer, a joint project of Chabad Lubavitch of Ontario, Tzivaos Hashem Canada and the Jewish Russian Community Center.
The program began at 12:00 noon with a rally and Twins From France show in the Zukerman Amphitheatre in the park. The theater sits 1200 and 300 more in the standing areas.
From there began the Parade on Bathurst St, the central avenue in the Jewish area of Toronto. The parade included the Tzivos Hashem marching band, floats and signs and posters made by the children of Cheder Chabad and Bais Chaya Mushka and others as well.
As the marchers returned to the park at 2:00 pm, the Family festival began. Children enjoyed 13 mechanical rides, Jewish-themed carnival games, BarBQ cuisine including cotton candy, popcorn, and doughnuts.
Bounce Entertainment provided a DJ and lively music in accordance with the festive atmosphere. A unique Video truck broadcast video of the at Lag Baomer parades on a giant screen throughout the afternoon.
The event concluded with a traditional Medurah bonfire complete with music and marshmallows.
An event of this size would not be possible without the dedicated work of the hundreds of volunteers from the Chabad community, the students of Bais Chomesh High School and Yeshivas Lubavitch.

Reb Mendel is our unsung hero. The greater Toronto Jewish community owes you a great deal of gratitude. Many are not aware, but had it not been for all your tremendous efforts, our great Lag Baomer parade, along with many other events would have turned out very differently. May you continue doing the Rebbe’s holy work, and go מחיל אל חיל.
I spy one of the best musician in Chabad today
