The forecast called for steady rain. But a little weather has nothing on the Women’s Circle.
The garden party went on. Inside, and with enough mini delicacies and luscious cheesecakes to ensure no one’s joy was dampened.
In anticipation of Shavuos, Ruchelli Berry spoke about her personal ascent up the mountain. As an atheist in college, she encountered the campus shluchim, Rabbi and Mrs. Chaim Lipskier, who helped her scale the peaks of yiddishkeit. Her spiritual high during the subsequent year in Mayanot left her breathless and cognizant of the fact that lasting observance needs to happen at the base of the mountain.
Rucheli inspired each woman to bring the heights down to daily, practical yiddishkeit.
The tea party was complete with scrumptious ice creams sponsored by the ever-generous Pinches Klein of Klein’s Ice Cream.
yummy ice cream treats were donated by the wonderful KLEIN FAMILY original from CROWN HEIGHTS
Every event Chanel puts on has a trademark class, elegance, high-quality speakers (and did I mention outrageous food?).
So wish I lived closer to be a part of them. The women of Crown Heights are LUCKY!!
as an out of towner these events make me joyful.
there are real chassidish, community, programs going on instilling friendship and closeness in an otherwise huge and mass neighborhood.
