Voting for the CHYE and COLlive Elevator Pitch Challenge begins today, competition organizers have announced.
Participants are now invited to register their account on the CHYE competition site, and cast a vote for their favorite Elevator Pitch. There is a limit of one vote per video, but no limits to how many different videos registrants may vote for.
Voting will run until Monday, May 29th.
“It’s amazing to see how many people have embraced this exciting competition,” said Rabbi Yehoshua Werde, Director of CHYE and coordinator of the Elevator Pitch Challenge.
“To me, it’s a testament to the rising interest in entrepreneurism within the Chabad community.”

The small business mindset has seen a steady rise within Lubavitch of late, with more and more young entrepreneurs choosing to venture out on their own. To assist these brave pioneers, the Elevator Pitch Challenge was conceived.
Participants upload a 30-60 second video of themselves pitching their business or service, and are judged by the wider community on their presentation and business idea. The pitch with the greatest number of votes will receive an award of $10,000 in business services, including $1000 in cash.
“Vital to business success is the ability to pitch your product or service to others in a clear and concise way,” Werde says. “Who are you, what are you offering, and how can it benefit the person you’re targeting.”
The Elevator Pitch Challenge, says Werde, will help people hone those very skills.
Another benefit for growing businesses is the widespread exposure their pitches will generate. Videos will be shared with thousands of community members worldwide, helping new businesses create much-needed promotion and awareness.
The final—and perhaps most compelling benefit—is the reward the winner stands to gain: $10,000 in business related services, including $1000 in cash.
“The competition is a win-win for everyone involved,” Werde says.
The competition was launched at the beginning of last week, and has already seen an impressive display of business and sales talent.
